It is 0.99.8a and has been up in production with 6-12 clients for 945 days (and would have been up longer had it not needed to move to a different rack 2 years+7 months ago. That's what I call a reliable system.

I would like to pass on my congratulations to Rene and the Gibraltar team. This is a fantastic product. I have just purchased the Professional edition to replace our appliance Firewall which had cost us in the region of 4400 euro. This appliance had to be replaced three times due to hardware failure. Had a number of bugs that made some feature unusable, and basically couldn't do all the things Gibraltar does so well (IPSEC rules etc..). We wanted to move away from a appliance firewall due to the 'down time' we had with hardware failures. With Gibraltar it take about 20mins to fit three network cards to a new system and get it up and running with the config of the failed one (I did it as part of my evaluation). I evaluated 'Smoothwall', 'Astaro', and Gibraltar. It soon became clear to me that Gibraltar offered everything we needed, worked flawlessly, and at a price that can only be described as unbelievable (The latter was important as the 4400euro firewall was only 10months old). Anyway great product, and great team."
